Introduction of our Japanese course

Teaching Program

We teach 4 language skills – Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing. Because we especially focus on communication skills among them, the ratio of Japanese teachers is currently the highest in Ho Chi Minh City.
The ratios of Japanese teachers are 70% at elementary course and 100% at intermediate course.
The program provides students with Japanese language skills and necessary knowledge of Japanese culture to communicate and work in an international environment.

Teachers

All of our Japanese teachers have qualified either passing Japanese Language Teaching Competency Test or completing 420-hour Japanese Language Teacher Training Course and are experienced.

All of our Vietnamese teachers have certificate of N2 level of Japanese Language Proficiency Test or have competence equivalent to N2 level and are experienced.

Teaching Method

SLSM – SLS Method is the combination of Direct Method and Indirect Method.

Intermediate and Advanced levels: The textbook which our school originally edited.
Classes for Japanese Language Proficiency Test: teaching according to the latest updated information of International Japanese Proficiency System,.

Specialty

Japanese teachers are in charge of more than 80% of the whole lessons.

  • Elementary level SC1~8 —– They teach 2 sessions out of 6 sessions in a week.
  • Intermediate level TC1~3—– They teach 2 sessions out of 6 sessions in a week.
  • Intermediate level TV4~, Conversation class, Japanese Language Proficiency Test class
    —— 100% Japanese teachers

The number of students is limited average 8 to 25 at the maximum.

Transportation is very convenient in its area.

It is located in the center of Ho Chi Minh City, where students easily to come after their school or work everyday. There are Unification Palace, War Remnants Museum, Tao Dan Park and Open University in its neighborhood.

The school holds several events regulary.

You can be exposed to not only Japanese language but also its culture through events such as watching Japanese movies or dramas and listening Japanese music.

JAPANESE LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY TEST

What is the certificate of Japanese Language?
The Certificate of Japanese Language is the international certificate by the Japan Foundation and Japan Educational Exchanges and Services.
Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) is held in a unified manner all over the world on the first Sunday of July and December every year.

·Be able to read materials with profound contents on various topics or narratives as well as understand the writer’s intents comprehensively.
Listening:
·Be able to comprehend oral materials such as conversations, news and lectures. Furthermore, be able to speak naturally in variety of settings and understand contents comprehensively.
·Be able to understand the detailed materials such as the relationships among the people involved, the logical structures, and the essential points.
N2 Reading:
·Be able to read written materials in various topics, such as articles, commentaries on newspapers or magazines as well as simple critiques or contents.

Listening:
·Be able to comprehend oral materials such as conversations, news and lectures. Furthermore, be able to speak naturally in variety of settings and understand contents comprehensively. N3 Reading:
·Be able to read and understand written materials with specific contents concerning in daily topics.
·Be able to summarize information such as newspaper headlines.
In addition, be able to read writings are encountered in daily and understand the main points of the content if some alternative phrases are available to support one’s understanding.
Listening:
·One is able to listen and comprehend coherent conversations in everyday situations, spoken at near-natural speed, and is generally able to follow their contents as well as grasp the relationships among the people involved.
N4 Reading:
·Be able to read and understand passages in familiar daily topics written in basic vocabulary and kanji.
Listening:
·Be able to listen and comprehend conversations encountered everyday ; or generally, be able to speak and understand speaker’s ideas.
N5 Reading:
·Be able to read and understand typical expressions and written sentences in hiragana, katakana, and basic kanji.
Listening:
·Be able to listen and comprehend conversations about regular topics encountered in everyday or in the classroom. Morover, be able to get necessary information from short conversations.

Exam fees: Register : 30,000 VND. N1-N2-N3: 280,000 VND; N4-N5:260,000 VND (in 2013). Schedule: On the first Sunday of Jul & Dec.

Shokyu 5 – Elementary 5 Potential verbs. Status, appearance. Kanji.
Shokyu 6 – Elementary 6 Conditional form. Weather, symbol. Kanji.
Shokyu 7 – Elementary 7 Idiom. Health, accidental cases. The events of the year. Describe the mood, picture, pattern. Kanji.
Shokyu 8 – Elementary 8 Honorific expression, humble expression, respectful expression, polite expression. In the emergency case. Onomatopoeia, mimetic words. The way of instruction. Speaking on the phone. Writing e-mail, card. Kanji.
